Pick a local public health issue which struck you from your windshield survey, your community clinical experiences or from the list provided.
Your paper should address the following:
1). How prevalent is this problem in your selected community and what are the consequences? What are some political, social, and cultural factors that contribute to its prevalence?
2).What is being done to address the problem? What more could be done?
3).What is the local impact on this disease? How do local rates/policies compare with national rates or policies?
4). Apply four (4) approved epidemiological terms/ principles or describe a nursing theory (e.g. Orem) that applies to the public health issue.
5). Identify and clearly describe two (2) community nursing diagnoses related to the public health issue.
