We can work on Any topic (writer’s choice)

1) Review the “Intro the the Gothic” Powerpoint on Canvas (It is a good idea to review this before diving into the game and the reading, just to give you an idea of what to look for in the texts this week)

2) Play With Those We Love Alive for at least 15-20 minutes. The game can take about an hour to get through, so I don’t expect you to play all of it. If you get frustrated, that’s ok. It isn’t “meant” to be straightforward or easy (by design).

3) Read the first 100 pages of Frankenstein as outlined in the schedule of readings.

For your discussion post:

Connect concepts you have learned about the gothic to both the novel and the game. Pick a specific detail, passage, or event from each text that strikes you are being related to the gothic. Explain why you see this as gothic.

Second, make a connection to another text you have encountered that you think has gothic qualities. Describe the text and its gothic features.
