Pressure to Agree:  You have been looking for a job for 3 months and have just received your first offer.  You like the agency and the type of work that the agency offers.  Unfortunately, the salary is substantially below your expectations.  The agency’s position regarding salary is “take it or leave it”.  Use the Negotiation Preparation Tool to analyze this conflict and to strategize how to approach negotiations.  What type of conflict is this?  What is your preferred approach?  How will you know whether your negotiations are successful?  Can negotiations be “successful” even if you do not reach an agreement with the agency?
