You can do the case study with any organisation, anywhere in the world. You can even contact DIT or any other institute. For the individual project you have two options: an organisational based study where the organisation is a company (which can be anywhere in the world) or an institution. The second option is a comparative case study which is done via a literature review and comparison of 4-5 academic publications synthesising the case as a desk based exercise. For this you need to find examples (not the ones given) that are related in some way. A good proposal suggests a research problem suitable to be analysed by a case study, provides background information, identifies the methodology (data collection and analysis) and any risks.
