1)    Introduction: Statement of the paper’s theme (which you will draw from your analysis), including relevant concepts and ideas from class literature to establish the importance of the research and findings.  Be sure to include a thesis statement and a research question which will guide your paper.
2)    Methods: Explain how the survey was conducted, how many respondents there are to the survey as a whole, and give a general description of the population.  Then, describe your research population (if different), explain what measures you are using to answer your research questions and how those measures will be compared.  State your hypotheses (2-3 are recommended).
3)    Analysis of findings: Report and explain each of the tests that you run on your hypotheses, being sure to include important numerical outcomes in the text of your paper.  Also, be sure to include visuals of your outcomes.
4)    Discussion: Return to your research questions, and explain how your findings answer these questions.  Be clear about identifying the key findings and explaining them. Then, think about your study as whole: what are the shortcomings of this research?  What should other researchers examine in future to better understand these phenomena? Summarize your key findings about racial attitudes in South Dakota in light of your research.
