I’m working on a sociology report and need a sample draft to help me learn.

The paper is worth 400 points. (See Grade Rubric for point system)The paper needs to be 5 pages, 4 pages of your research and one page biography. At least four references must be cited. Please standard MLA format for this essay. It is due Sunday, May 2, 11:59. Late papers will be deducted 50 points each day the paper is late.

The paper must address the following:

1. Define Federalism, including dual, cooperative, devolution and fiscal

2. Specific areas of research will include

i. comparing the response of two states, Oklahoma and the state of your choice.

1. How did leaders respond, including Governors, Health Departments, mayors, educational and business leaders etc.

a. Did the states introduce mandates? What were they? How were they different when comparing the states? How were they similar?

b. How did the states address educational concerns?

c. Were any businesses affected? If so, which ones? And how?

ii. Address how the Federal government responded to the Covid-19 pandemic.

1. Provide an overview from the beginning of the pandemic to the present. Did the Federal government introduce mandates? Give specific examples.

2. How did the Federal government interact with other countries regarding the pandemic? Give examples of two countries

iii. What type of federalism would you use to describe the response of the states and the federal government to Covid-19.

iv. Share your opinion regarding either the state’s response or the federal government’s response to the pandemic.
