You are the sales department manager for a U.S.-based company that builds engines for the automotive manufacturing industry. Your company is considering diversifying into other business opportunities where your motors can be sold in order to bolster the companyâs portfolio and increase revenue. Based on your knowledge of the national sales landscape, your manager would like you to conduct preliminary research and prepare a presentation with your recommendation for opportunity in a new industry that will allow for this diversification through a new sales division and increased sales. You have been asked to make your presentation at the next stakeholder meeting, where you will address internal stakeholders from across the company as well as external stakeholders such as customers, investors, and suppliers.
As a preliminary step in developing this presentation, your manager would like to see an executive summary of your research findings and evaluate your decision modeling.

Part 1: Define
You will first conduct research on the U.S.-based automotive manufacturing industry using the Shapiro Library database links provided in the supporting materials section below. Then, prepare an analysis report that addresses the following:
Define the problem.
Explain the type of qualitative and quantitative data you will be targeting in your research.
Provide a broad description of the U.S. automotive manufacturing industry and its net worth. Include:
Total net worth of the industry
Sales by region
Sales by fuel type: electric, hybrid, and gas
Describe the current trends in the automotive market.
The trend toward different types of motors for the vehicles being made and sold, such as electric and hybrid
Trends in customer demands such as vehicle color, extra features, and styles
Trends in the body types of vehicles sold (SUVs, trucks, sedans)

In Module One, you chose an industry that you think would provide opportunity for your company. Now, using industry-specific and scholarly resources to inform your decision, prepare an industry analysis report that includes the following:

I can also side with that one opinion and say, when it comes to the laws and policies and the change of heart with the MEPA, it is defiantly a success, due to the fact that more white families are adopting a different race as well as black families. Not only do I think this, but the one who put together this act, Howard Metzenbaum, believed in his act. Metzenbaum (1995) stated in his commentary that, the Multiethnic Placement Act will strengthen the federal governmentâs commitment in improving the lives of children and getting rid of harmful discrimination. Out of all the research and resource I have come in contact with I can say that this Act has made our society, much better than what it was back then, considering most people were once against transracial adoption. Gaps and Needs In an article, Jennings (2006) did a study against transracial adoption where she had interviewed a few women, some of them were looking to adopt or was just interested in the topic. It was said by all these women that when or if they adopted, they wanted the child to fit into their family, meaning, that the child be the same race (Jennings 2006). They had also said they did not âview this as a race- based decision and they simply did not realize that wanting a child who will fit into their family is racializing (Jennings, 2006, p.8). Women in this study were against transracial adoption because they were scared that a child of a different color than their family would be harmed by negative attitudes and racist comments by their family, friends and neighbors Jennings (2006) .One of the participants in the study had explained that having a black or Asian child was not an option because her father>
