EPOS System using Java

Chapter 3 summarises the reading that you undertook to enable you to do the project work. It must summarise the main topics that you read about, and provide full and correct citations to the documents that you have read. This Chapter must be at most 3 pages long for BSc projects; a penalty of 1% of the awarded mark for each page, or part of a page, in excess of the maximum page limit will be applied.
Organise this chapter by topic. For example, for a hypothetical design and build project, these topics might be: the application domain of the software; the type of algorithms and architecture required; the language, tools and software libraries used. If there is a client, there may be documents describing their specific domain, the current state of technology in that area of business, etc. For research projects, you would normally have read previous research publications, describing the state of knowledge before your project and helping you to refine the method for running your own project. You will have read a number of sources for each topic: briefly write what information or ideas each source contributed that were significant for your work; make sure to list the source itself in the references section, and cite it in your text using the required format for in4text citations.
In this chapter we are not seeking evidence about how you used this reading – this should be evident from other chapters. However, we are looking for evidence that you have read enough material in the domain and you can summarise the relevance of your readings, and will award marks on this basis.
