We can work on book report on fires of jubilee)

1)Title, Author, Date of Publication__if the book has more than one publishing date because it is a reprint or a new edition, use the most recent date. 2)Summary_It is critical that you give a solid summary of the books content. You do not need to summarize every aspect of the book, however, if you will try to summarize each chapter you can get the job done pretty easily. You must state the authors major thesis. Also clearly state what you believe to be the major conclusions of the author. (estimate-2 pages) 3) Criticism_ It is important that you read your book critically. Be aware of your authors biases. Ask yourself, Is this book balanced or fair in its treatment of the subject? Is it critical of the people and ideas for unfair or unjustifiable reasons? Did the author convince you of his/her conclusions? Why? Comment on whether you found this book difficult or enjoyable to read. (estimate-2 pages) 4)Enlightenment_describe what you got out of the book. In what area of American history did this book add to your knowledge? Would you recommend this book to others? Why? Did the book inform you about historical events, persons, or ideas that you were previously unaware? Any emotional reactions while reading this book_ did it make you angry, laugh, feel sad, feel better about something? Lastly, go to your textbook on this same subject area and tell if the interpretations are the same or different and in what ways. List the pages numbers(s) from your textbook where the topic was discussed. (Estimate-2 pages) 4)Bibliography_ Now that youve read your book and discussed its contents, I would like you to find 4 other sources that also discuss your same topic. These are to be divided into two primary and two secondary sources. I will discuss these further in the classroom and give a handout to you on how to list various sources.:
