The Situation:

As a member of the Agency’s Senior Executive Team, you have just been informed of an exciting opportunity to expand program services for a group in the community that has been under served for many years.

The CEO has announced that you have been placed in charge of the Human Resources component of this major program expansion at the Agency. A very generous Foundation Grant will support this new program, which will require hiring 30 new staff at all levels, as well as an experienced Program Administrator.

You will present your plan at the next Senior Executive Meeting.

Your assignment is to use the reading material and class discussions in the Human Resources Life Cycle as a foundation to communicate how you would:

• Brand this new program.
• Market the new program to attract the best staff possible.
• Outline how you would structure the hiring process and guard against violations of the laws that protect potential employees from discrimination.
• Create a compensation and benefit structure that would make your new program a unique and desirable place to work.
