Learning Goal: I’m working on a business writing question and need the explanation and answer to help me learn.

America is one of the only Industrialized Nations of the world NOT to have free health care for its population. Why is that? What are the arguments for and against free health care, also known as a “single payer health care system?” Who would benefit and who would not under this system? Medicare/ Medicaid were supposed to bring us closer to this kind of system. Do Medicare & Medicaid work? Why or why not? How does the lack of health care affect Americans? How would it change if we went with a Medicare system for all? What would be the ramifications on American society? Discuss how foreign country’s single-payer systems look and how they might look in the U.S
