The research essay will be based on academic readings and articles from quality
newspapers (an example is given below), as well as other relevant materials (from
governmental documents to movies). If you are planning to use web-sites, make
sure you aim for quality web-sites

However, for this module, the essay must include a reference to at least two
articles from quality newspapers, photocopies or PDF of which must be
submitted with the essay.

Tips :
1) Make sure you understand and address the essay title.
2) Analytical approach is the right method of execution: summaries, descriptive
paragraphs, redundant information, repetition should be removed from essay.
3) Select two newspaper articles relevant to your area of research. Make
reference to the selected newspaper articles: no summary of articles, but
reasons why the articles may contribute to the analysis of the selected topic.
You are required to submit these two newspaper articles (original or copy) with
your essay.
4) It is always interesting to include critique of the impact and meaning on your
area of research of a movie / fictional book / theatrical representation / group
protest action / musical lyric / piece of journalism / NGO document /
documentary, but avoid description and summaries.
5) It could be handy to design a research plan; include aims and objectives of the
project (for instance what do you want to discuss? Why?). This may offer you
a direction or structure to follow when executing your essay.
6) Identify relevant literature in the body of the essay, and make sure you
referencing system in the body of essay is accurate.
