For this assignment, you are to investigate specific significant examples of historical and current research and analyze the changes or trends that you find in your review.

Psychological Bulletin is a journal devoted to literature reviews across all the areas of psychology. It is currently run by the American Psychological Association. It publishes reviews of literature that summarize the known research on a particular topic. The American Psychological Association has made previous articles available online going back to 1905.

Using the Excelsior College Virtual Library, explore Psychological Bulletin articles published between 1905 and 1930. Select at least four articles published between 1905 and 1930 and at least four corresponding articles from Psychological Bulletin between 1985 and 2015 that are similar in topic (for example, both are on personality or both are on visual perception).

Compare and contrast the individual pairs of articles that you have selected.

Project 1 should be a minimum of 1500 words (not including title and reference pages).

Support your essay using scientific, peer-reviewed sources only. In addition to your textbook, eight of the sources used must be beyond the assigned reading (those cited by the authors of the text do not count as an external source).

Follow American Psychological Association (APA) style (6th edition) for writing your assignment. Cite your references in APA style in-text and include the full APA style reference information at the end of the document. Complete APA-style references are mandatory.
