Psychological Assessment Report

Order Description

The aim of this assignment is to give students the experience of writing a psychological assessment report, similar to reports completed by professional psychologists. The preparation for this report will involve administering two psychological tests to a “client”, aged between 65-75 years, taking a brief, relevant history and observations during the interview, and conducting a literature review on the tests involved. The report will include a written description of the tests, their psychometric properties and any other relevant information (e.g. the effects of age on test performance), a description of the client’s relevant history, details of any observations during the testing session, a report of their test performance, an interpretation of their test performance and a summary.
This assignment will provide you with the opportunity to:

Conduct a literature review on the psychological tests and their psychometric properties
Administer psychological tests to an older adult
Score, and interpret tests scores appropriately
Write a psychological assessment report

Guidelines for the Psychological Assessment Report will be given to students in the course. There will be a lecture and practical session dedicated to the research report in week 7. Questions about the assignment should be posted on the corresponding Learnonline course forum.
Your report should be word-processed on A-4 size paper, font size 12, with a 3cm margin, and with 1.5 line spacing. All pages must be numbered. The word limit of the report is 2500 words without references. Reports exceeding the limit by more than 10% will be penalized at a percentage corresponding to the percentage of excess words (e.g. a 11% deduction for 11% excess).
