Director’s Vision Essay Dissertation Help

Director’s Vision
Order Description
The paper should be 3-4 pages typed (about 850 words), font 12, written in Times New Roman, and must have a title. 2-3 sentences on a third page will not be sufficient!

When writing this paper, you must have a clear thesis statement, or purpose to your essay. The body paragraphs should be well thought out and provide evidence to support your thesis. You must have both an introduction and a conclusion. Please make sure you remain focused and above all – do not provide plot summaries! I will have more than likely seen the film, and writing a summary is NOT the purpose of this assignment. It is your responsibility to describe scenes in detail and include the other production personnel who helped make this directors vision become a visual reality.
1) Director’s Vision – You will analyze the opening and closing scene of a film by either Stanley Kubrick, Tim Burton, Quentin Tarantino, Martin Scorsese, Christopher Nolan, Wes Anderson, or Alejandro G. Iñárritu. You will explain the film’s exposition and denoument, providing a detailed account of setting, point of view, and stylistic techniques (dialogue, camera angles, soundtrack, and mise-en-scene) in the first couple of minutes to the last couple of minutes. You must explore the meaning behind the diegetic and non-diegetic elements and how the film comes full circle. This is a breakdown of each individual shot, frame-by-frame. In addition, it is your responsibility to examine how the director successfully creates their vision with the breakdown of these two specific scenes. As a filmmaker, how do they break certain conventions and create their own rules? How have they changed, or may currently be changing the norm in Hollywood?
