Order Description
1. Critically evaluate management and organisational assumptions, theory and ideology and appraise their application to a range of contemporary contexts, including leadership and management development, organisation development, innovation, ethical management and corporate social responsibility.
2. Construct and apply appropriate conceptual frameworks to negotiate and exploit emerging opportunities and threats for contemporary organisations
3. Draw on relevant academic literature to support and clearly articulate, in written form, an idea/proposition.
You will be assessed according to the following criteria:
a) Evidence of an effective introduction (i.e. focus, scope and purpose)
b) Evidence of research and reading to select appropriate theories, concepts and frameworks (with accurate referencing of sources – Harvard format)
c) Ability to use theoretical perspectives to establish and critically evaluate the focus idea
d) An effective closing section that pulls together key arguments within the paper
e) Effective communication, presentation and use of structure
