Grading scale:
0 – Nothing or total nonsense turned in, turned in late without a serious reason
1 – Wrote too little, paid no attention to spelling/grammar, or wrote something but didn’t think about the material (e.g., the response just summarizes the reading/restates the author’s thoughts without any of your own insights). You need to respond to the material with your own reaction to the ideas presented.
2 – Made a reasonable effort to answer the question, engaged critically with the reading, and paid attention to basic writing mechanics.
