It is your first day within the Corporate Communications team. Unfortunately, your line manager is attending a meeting off-site, but he has left you the following memo and will return in an hour.

Welcome to the team! Sorry I can’t be here to greet you in person. I do have an exciting first task for you though:

International Private Banking (IPB) have recently seen disappointing results. We have been asked to work with the team and ultimately create a Corporate Affairs plan to grow value in the business

They have provided us with a data pack of key information on their business. We are due to meet with the Managing Director of IPB tomorrow to discuss the way we would help them and demonstrate our initial understanding of the key drivers of their recent business performance, based on the data they have provided.

I would like to take along a set of 4 slides on which to base our discussion with the MD.

I have produced a set of skeleton slides and have begun to fill in a couple of details to give you a better idea of what we should cover. Your task is to complete these slides and be prepared to discuss them with me when I return in an hour. There is no “right” answer; the purpose is to have an informed discussion.

I realise that you may not have previous experience within IPB, so have provided you with an overview of the basics of private banking and an explanation of some of the terms you may come across in your reading.
