1. Please read the section in your textbook regarding observational learning (e.g., Bandura’s famous Bobo doll experiment) AND the negative effects of media violence. Summarize these research findings (please be explicit in your description of these studies). In addition, what do you think of these researchers’ results? What have you observed in the “real world?”  Please give some specific examples of your observations (for example, acquaintances, friends, and/or your own behavior). Are your observations consistent with the researchers’ findings? Lastly, after reflecting on the readings and your own perspective on media violence, what would be your advice to parents regarding their children’s exposure to these aggressive-themed types of media (e.g., TV, movies, video games, music, Internet)?

    Does classical conditioning exist only in Pavlov’s lab experiment with dogs? No it does not! You can easily observe and/or experience classical conditioning in your every day life. Please define the different components of classical conditioning (i.e., US, UR, CS, CR). In addition, you need to think of a specific situation in which you have experienced classical conditioning. Remember to specifically apply each component to your situation. If you cannot think of a personal experience, then you can apply an observation of another person or animal (e.g., pet). Please do not use the same examples given in the textbook………come up with your own example! Lastly what do you think about classical conditioning and its consequences?
