Write a lab-report style introduction (max 2 pages double spaced) on the DNA isolation and PCR amplification process of the PTC gene. Read the review article as a way
to get started. You can use this article for background information and as a model for your own introduction. Make sure to properly cite all sources. Your words must
be your own.

A good introduction should define the topic, provide background on the topic, and include appropriate sources to support the argument. An introduction should not
explain in great detail the procedures required to perform the experiment, list materials, or discuss or analyze results. Make sure you hit all the points on the
rubric. The language in the rubric is general and won’t prompt you on specifics of PTC or DNA isolation and PCR, so it is a good benchmark for any introduction you
write. Introductions you write later in this class will require the addition of a clear research question and hypothesis.
