2. Introduce and briefly explain each theory in its own paragraph, including your assessment of how it meets the criteria of a good theory from Ch. 1 (pages 14-
17), and your explanation for why it appeals to you.  (2 paragraphs, one for each theory)
3. Write a third and final paragraph about what the theories you chose reveal about your own research interests, philosophical assumptions (building on what you
wrote in HW1), and the communication phenomena that interest you.  Briefly describe what communication phenomena you might study using each of the theories.  You might
be able to study one phenomenon using both theories, or the theories might lead to study two different phenomena.
