• The actual task involves an analysis of the chosen business: • The descriptive part of the assignment involves:• Identifying ownership and management structure. • Product and service features • Unique selling and marketing points• Corporate governance and the prevailing regulatory environment for the business• Financial performance • Competitive advantages/ shortcomings and the company’s main competitors • KPIs (Key performance indicators)
B. The analytical part of the assignment:The analytical part of the assignment involves students preparing a SWOT (Strengths Weakness Opportunities, Threats) analysis of the business and to establish (based
on literature dealing with this type of business) how well this business has performed in relation to the key performance indicators (KPIs) of business success
featured in academic and relevant industry literature. In making an assessment of the performance of the business, identify any key external or internal factors which
may have either aided or hampered the performance of the business.
