- Select a job of moderate complexity. A job that is too complex (too many tasks/unobservable) or too simple (only a few tasks) will cause you problems at every phase of the project. YOU MUST HAVE YOUR JOB APPROVED BY THE INSTRUCTOR BEFORE YOU PROCEED BEYOND THE JOB ANALYSIS PHASE.
- The job selected must be a full-time job. Avoid reporting on your own job as that creates “subjectivity” problems. - Select a job for which a) a job description, b) some selection procedures (at least an application blank) and performance appraisal methods (form) exist.
- Progressive steps should show in your work; complete job analysis, recruitment and selection plan and evaluation milestones are required in your final report and presentation.
- All phases of this assignment must be completed for the same job.
- Appendices must be placed at the end of each section and referred to/explained in the paper. The paper must contain appropriate headings/sub-headings.
- Be creative! the instructor will not suggest content, ways to organize or format. It is up to your imagination.
