What is perspective taking?
Perspective taking refers to our ability to relate to others. It is our ability to perceive someone else’s thoughts, feelings, and motivations. In other words, it refers to our ability to empathise with someone else and see things from their perspective (Harwood & Farrar, 2006).

This project is about designing a game that can improve people’s awareness of perspective taking. It called “The game of perspective taking”. The game will be designed as a first-person-role-playing game. It will include two main characters at this concept stage, one human and one cat. The game environment has set in a peaceful virtual neighbourhood, and the player will be playing as the two characters to solve various tasks. The player will need to switch between character’s perspectives to play the game as well. The gameplay will demonstrate the idea of coordinating and taking multi-perspectives in the real world.
