I am approaching the end of my MBA and need to hand in a thesis proposal. I want to write based on my organization that I work for.
I head a Centre of Excellence for Order 2 Cash (O2C) and a lot of the transactional work is outsourced to a BPO. however to further improve our Operational excellence I want to create an “innovation lab” that focuses on implementing automation like RPA (robot process automation) to our processes. This research paper will need to focus on this area “innovation in back office processes” and  touch upon BPO. As a big part of the processes have been outsourced and with RPA there is chance to bring back these outsourced processes back to the business.
FTE count is 20% retained and 80% outsourced. I want to prove with this research paper that there is a need for further automation in order to increase operational excellence (adding value to the customer, reducing costs etc.).
