Write a traditional film review of your chosen film.

As before, the assignment has three phases:

1. Submit arough draft to the Peer Review – Film Review tab by Wednesday, Oct. 26th at 11:59 PM
2. Submit filled-out copiesof the Film Review Peer Feedback Worksheet .docx  to Completed Peer Feedback Worksheets by Sunday, Oct.30 at 11:59 PM
3. Submit a final draftof your Film Review to Canvas by Wednesday, November 2nd at 11:59 PM.

Pedagogically, I believe this is more useful than writing another synthesis because it will help you understand the difference between a review and a rhetorical analysis. Moreover, I discern that most of you would prefer to offer your own opinions.

You may approach writing the review however you would like, but it must include:

• An introduction that outlines the scope of the review
• A conclusion that offers something new, that does MORE than simply restate the points made in your review.

Lastly, your review should be of what is happening within the film, the elements and themes at play. A proper review is not a list of what you would have preferred to see. It’s acceptable to suggest alternative approaches that may have enriched the film in order to make a point, but the crux of your argument should not hinge upon what you wish the film would’ve been/done.

Requirements:

• 3-5 pages
• a unique title
• Mustdirectly quote at least 4 professional reviews of this film, 2 of these reviews must present counterarguments to your evaluation of the film.

• Typed in Microsoft word or Google Docs
• Double spaced
• 1 inch margins
• Times New Roman font
