Women's rights in the 19th and 21st centuries.

Use the document by elizabeth cady stanton and others ( i will attach that document) to get an idea concerning women’s rights (or lack of them) in the 19th century in america. Then organize your response according to the instructions below( though i have listed these parts in “sections” using roman numerals ( in the bottom), please do not do so in your essay. Simply write fluidly dividing into appropiate parragraphs.

I. Analyze the document to give an overview of how these women like staton believed they were being treated as second class citizens in their own country. Please do not narrate or retell what sttaton has written .Instead try to draw the main points out of the document to give a concise overview of how women did not enjoy the benefits of full citizenship.

II.Read the declaration of independence by thomas jefferson and draw some parallels to the points you have outlined in part I. Stanton and others were very much aware when they used the same language, format and almost exact phrasing of jefferson’s document for their own. In this section explain why you think they did this.

III.pick three or four of staton’s complaints from part I and discuss whether or not these are still valid in 2015? Here you will want to do a bit of research to provide facts to back up your opinions. In other words, what has really changed for women in 21st century America.

Draw your contrast and comparisons using specifics to illustrate your opinions ; do not however use quotations. Instead paraphrase to explain your ideas.
