4. What was mercantilism and why did the colonists resent it? (5 points). What were the key points of John Locke’s Second Treatise on Government and how did the colonists use these ideas to justify resisting the Stamp Act? (8 points).
5. Give two reasons why the Boston Massacre is significant (5 points). Why were the colonists so outraged by the Coercive Acts? (4 points)
