When your Assignment #2 was posted on Mar.31st you will note as the Marketing Manager you have to develop a Market Research facilitator’s guide i.e, a set of 10 questions for the research needs /objectives identified in point #4 in the assignment so the focus group moderator can probe the research participants regarding the cause of the problem for focus group discussion.
This last question #7 is worth 40 points, 20 points for creating the 10 questions and 20 points for providing a rationale for each question you are asking i.e. what do you want to learn by asking the question.
To assist you I have attached a link to the video that is 1 hr. and 20 minutes, it is a video of a real live focus group conducted by a friend of mine who is professional Market Research Moderator who is conducting the research for a seafood company. When you watch the video do so with pencil and paper and note how the moderator frames the questions as he probes the consumers for information he needs to learn. Use the notes you take to help you frame your 10 questions and supporting rationale, the insight you intend to gain from asking the question….this tip should help you achieve a solid grade.
