I don’t understand this Social Science question and need help to study.

Here are the instructions:

At the end of your article on race and ethnic concepts the author argues that sociologists need to clearly differentiate between standards that are intrinsically desirable and standards that facilitate success in dominant institutions. They are referring to the need for researchers to discover what blend of parenting traits/behaviors/styles are best for child development but also give children a chance to succeed in the current political and economic climate. Your task in this discussion board is to identify five traits/behaviors/styles, based on what we have discussed so far, that you think would best accomplish this goal. Your response needs to be 3-4 paragraphs in length and you need to include the following: 1) You must present the class with a visual display clearly identifying the five parenting traits/behaviors/styles that you chose, 2) A paragraph or two justifying how and why these parenting styles serve to both improve child development and assist in success within the social and economic world we live in, 3) a paragraph explaining how these behaviors are impacted by race and class dynamics, and 4) and two examples from your readings to support your argument.

* Note: Please be sure to consider how each parenting styles/trait/behavior that you choose may differ for children who are growing up with different racial and economic backgrounds. You can address this by incorporating two examples from this week’s readings that demonstrate why race and class matter while also complicating how parents decide to raise and monitor their children.
