We can work on UCirvine Psychology Job Search Website Discussion – Assignment Help

I’m trying to study for my Psychology course and I need some help to understand this question.

Message Board – Job Search Website

Go to a job search website (e.g., indeed.com, handshake, craigslist, jobs.universityofcalifornia, edu), and take a look at a few job descriptions/job specifications for a job that you might be interested in after graduation. What did the job descriptions/job specifications have in common? In what ways were they different? Was there anything that was unclear? Anything that you think they should have included but didn’t? Anything that was included that you didn’t think was necessary?

Should have two post ( one own original post and one is reply to other’s post) the original post must finished before the deadline, response is not urgent, that means I can add time for this. ( for own post , at least 250 words, for response, at least 150 words)

Example:

My classmate A ‘s post:

After graduation, as a senior with a psych degree, I feel like I am very limited with my choices of careers especially in this job market right now, but I am interested in Human Resources. Some of the relative job descriptions are, having your bachelor’s degree in Human resources or a related field, with a 2-3 year minimum work experience or workforce management. Another skill that they highly recommend is having the skill to know how to analyze data and string communication skills. Some ways that different listings differ is that they differ in years of experience but other than that, most listings are the same. I think a skill that is worthy but unnecessary is having good communication and interpersonal skills because I think every job requires you to communicate will and work well with others.

Another job that i think i am interested in is consulting, but as a psychology major, i think that will be difficult because i have only taken two business classes. As a consultant, there are mostly listings as a sales consultant because they help see what is good for the business and specialize in specific fields. They also require people to have at least 2 years of sales experience. If I were to go into consulting, I would have to become specialized in one specific region and understand the consumer/products well. What i thought of was confusing was what they wanted you to consult on. Was it their business model in general or a specific product is what I am confused on.

Classmate B reply to A’s post :

Hi, A!

I agree with your statement that having good communication and interpersonal skills are a requirement for any job because people need to work with others regardless. Most of the jobs I found during my search also required good communication skills and interpersonal skills, however they differed in the level and amount of communication necessary. For example, one job required direct one-on-one contact with the client wherein the communication skills would be helping in connecting with the client to offer my services. Another job required that my communication skills be used to report any substantial changes in a client I noticed to a superior/manager. Therefore, although both jobs require good communication skills, they differ in how they want those skills to be used.

After you finish the own post, you should write a response to classmate C’ post

below is Classmate C’s post:

The two professions I am interested in are psychologists and laboratory assistants for psychiatric research projects. The reason why I am interested is that I am willing to use professional knowledge to help others. I selected the above two occupations on the jobs.universityofcalifornia.edu website. What they all require in common is excellent and appropriate communication skills when dealing with patients, personnel, staff, faculty, and representing the community. In other respects, the focus of these two professions is different. Psychopsychology laboratory assistants are more inclined to people who have two years of laboratory experience or courses in psychology-related fields. It requires people to have good observation skills, can maintain accurate, retrievable paper and electronic records and have strong basic computer skills, such as using Microsoft Word, Excel and Statview for word processing and data input. Psychological counselors are required to obtain a doctorate degree in clinical or counseling psychology at the doctoral level recognized by APA, and be able to carry out appropriate therapeutic interventions according to the provided culture. At the same time, due to multi-racial and equal cultural background considerations, candidates must have experience working with the African American community. What I am not clear about is whether the assistants of the psychopsychology laboratory require satisfactory criminal history background checks and any clinical certificates recognized in the field, which are not mentioned in the recruitment information. I think all the things considered on the job should be included and adjusted according to the actual situation. Some conditions are extra points. Even if you may not be able to find a perfect match, they are reasonable as ideal conditions. This provides a place for others with relevant special abilities.
