Identify at least two examples of societal attitudes, legislation, and organizational/institutional factors that may influence the outcome of a juvenile offender’s mental health treatment. By being aware of these influences, how might this better enable a clinician to treat juvenile offenders? Choose a specific program for either juvenile female or male offenders and outline the purpose and goals of the program. Explain whether or not the program is effective in treating the population it was intended to treat.
