The student will search for current literature related to an assigned topic. The specific guidelines are located below in the grading rubric. The students should read and create an annotated bibliography of 8 peer-reviewed articles and summarize them based on the criteria listed in the rubric. You must include at least 4 original research articles. The annotated bibliography must have literature from related disciplines, but should be pertinent to nursing science (i.e. education, sociology, medicine, psychology, and nursing). The student must have 6 references from nursing literature and may use 2 from outside disciplines. The student will create a summary paragraph listing and describing the nursing approaches/interventions/actions that are supported by the findings described in the annotated bibliography. The annotated bibliography should assist readers to decide whether the article is of use in their own work.
The annotated bibliography includes a brief summary of the article and an evaluation of the relevance of the information for nursing as well as your own response to the findings. Also to be graded is the assessment of the quality of the article. The bibliography must use the APA citation style.
