Should Texas have an income tax?

The assignment is for the student to write a 2-3 page assignment, in APA formatting, referenced and cited, and turn it in through the “Veri-cite” upload within CANVAS.  This assignment will be due a date as identified in CANVASS. In this assignment the student must identify several Items:

Should Texas have an income tax? Do the benefits of not having a state income tax outweigh the loss in services or higher tax rates on things like property and consumer goods? Which would you rather have: a state income tax or higher taxes on things that you buy, and property you own?
