Social script narratives are stories that are read to students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) that depict social situations and suitable responses. These stories are individualized, visual representations of trouble areas in students’ social skills and may center on difficult transitions and problem behaviors. Working in groups of 2, you will be responsible for writing an original social script to help an individual with ASD on a specific behavior. The instructor will provide you with a description of your child and the behavior to address with your social script. This assignment will be worth a total of 75 points.

After being assigned your “child”, develop a social story to help him/her with their target behavior. In a separate document, you will need to provide a description of how you will implement the script (e.g., how will it be presented, where will it be presented, how often, by whom, etc.), collect and assess the data, and fade the intervention. Make sure you consider factors like generalization and maintenance when writing, implementing, and assessing your script/story.
