I’m studying and need help with a Philosophy question to help me learn.

Questions:

Section 1: What is the central thesis of Identity theory? Don’t overthink this one. How does Type-Type Identity theory differ from the Token-Token Identity theory espoused by the Functionalist? Do you think that things without brains can have minds? Why or why not?

Section 2 : What is determinism? How does determinism differ from compatibilism? Why would anyone think that we would lack Free will? Do you find reasons for determinism persuasive?

Section 3: What is Frankfurt’s principle of alternative possibilities? Do you think that it is possible for us to be morally responsible for our actions even if we could not have done otherwise? Why or Why not?
