Now that we have completed the respiratory system, you should be able to write a one or two page paper (approximately 250 to 400 words), to be submitted on Blackboard, on the following topic:
We have seen how smoking causes a number of respiratory diseases. Second-hand smoke also contributes to respiratory and cardiovascular ailments. More recently, there has been concern about thirdhand smoke. What is meant by thirdhand smoke, what kinds of health problems can it cause, and why are children, especially infants, at greatest risk from it?
You can find information about this topic in various online newspapers and publications, which you can use as your reference citations, but put it into your own words.
Be sure to include at least 2 reference citations; you may use either the MLA or APA format; in the “Useful Links”, click on “Hostos Library”, and then go to their “Citation Guide”, on “Citation Help & How to Avoid Plagiarism.”
