We can work on Job Search & Career Path
This will require the student to âprojectizeâ the plan to obtain their first job or plan their career path using the concepts and tools covered in the course. Purpose The individual project will be used as the method to assess how well the student can create a project plan. The plan will be assessed through analysis and evaluation of the tools discussed in the course along with student application of what has been covered and understanding how to recognize which tool applies. Creation of a plan is critical for success for project managers who must regularly create plans from vague ideas given to them from clients or pre-project meetings. The ultimate goal is for the student to have developed a project plan that intimately involves their life. Deliverable A final printed report will be handed in by the end of the semester (see syllabus for date). This report will include tools/techniques used in the class as applied to the studentâs current career path. The report will be based the template included below. The length of the report depends on the studentâs career path and depth of discussion. At the end of the report include a definition section to define, in your own words, the section headers and any jargon used in the report. IMPORTANT: Bold or highlight phrases or sections that are most critical for easy review. Not done on most professional reports. Creative License/Format A template is provided below. However, the template is provided as a guide and additional sections or information is encouraged. This is similar to companies that have standard templates that are used for projects. Length In the past, most successful reports are ones that answer each question in each section in enough detail to show an understanding of the course material. In addition, the material provided in each section must be clearly actionable. Collaboration Collaboration is acceptable but all analysis, charts, figures, etc⦠must be generated by the student whose name is on the report. This project is a test of individual effort to create a project report. Grading Progress Report(s) It is expected that regular progress will be made during the semester to prevent overloading due to the end of semester project. At minimum, a midterm progress report is due. This is a short one to two sentence status of whatâs been accomplished and the plan to complete the project along with any questions. This will be due the class before midterm. Due 5 PM Friday October 16th on HuskyCT. Final Grade Reports will be graded based on the proper use and analysis of tools discussed in the course as applied to the studentâs career path. Each chart and table must have a description of what is in the chart â as if the chart was not there, the application of the chart to the studentâs career path, and an interpretation based on course material. For assistance on how to analyze a figure or chart see the Bloomâs Taxonomy section below.

The kind of impact the countries of the South had on the Cold War is evident with the reaction of the US regarding the Bandung conference. Prior to the conference, the US had made efforts to counter the influence of neutral countries such as that of India and also offered guidance to their allies like Pakistan, Turkey and Philippines. Their main worry with regard to the conference was that they feared being excluded from what they thought would develop into an effective forum, might emerge as a solid bloc at the United Nations( UN) led by China and India but most of all this development threatened to restructure the international society. At Belgrade in 1961, the first conference for the Non-Aligned movement(NAM),it was established that the countries that were a part of it will stay independent from both the Eastern and the Western bloc. The United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) was founded in 1964, following the demands of the South for establishment of a new institution concerned with the regulation for the North-South exchange. With the formation of the Group of 77(G-77), UNCTAD marked the beginning of a steady cooperation of the developing countries whose membership rose to 131 countries in 1995. NAM played a crucial role in establishing the position of the South in the world through various ways. First, it called for the United nations to be more democratised. It also showed support to the anti-colonial struggles that were still going on in the world, especially against the Portuguese in Africa. The most important contribution of NAM however was itâs call for the âNew International Economic Orderâ (NIEO).The NIEO included demands for the democratisation of global economic institutions, the regulation of foreign investment, better access for developing countries to the markets of the industrialised countries and the protection of âeconomic sovereigntyâ (Kristinsson 2012, p.45). The G-77 pursued these objectives at the UN through the UNCTAD. The call for the NIEO was important since it garnered support from all over the Third World despite their Cold war alliances. The intensity and frequency of the economic crises in the early 1970s gave an impetus to the demand of the Global South for the establishment of a âNew International Economic Orderâ(NIEO).Global inflation, widespread unemployment, foreign exchange instability and wild fluctuations in raw material prices in recent years have been a clear reflection of the breakdown of the Western dominated postwar monetary and trade systems. (Amuzegar, 1976). An attempt to establish a new North-South partnership was taken by the United Nations Special Session on Raw Materials and Development(1974). They took a resolution for the establishment of a NIEO and designed a Program of Action to implement this resolution. These G>
