Introduction

The nursing practice is undergoing dramatic changes due to technological advancement. The increased technological development has resulted in the need for the development of technological skills in the nursing practices. The use of technology in nursing education and practice has become mandatory. Technology development has established the need to prepare a nursing workforce that is technologically competent. Therefore, nursing education must prepare nursing students in a highly technological environment to improve their computer literacy (Consorti, Basili, Proietti, Toscano & Lenzi, 2015).

This paper seeks to study adaptive learning technology, its influence in nursing education and how a nurse educator can utilize the technology to establish a new learning environment for their students. Additionally, the paper will discuss two organizations that use adaptive learning technology and how the technology benefits them.
