Topics for Research Papers: You will submit your research topic proposal to Canvas and turn in a hard copy in class. This will consist one paragraph that identifies your topic, lists at least one theory you will use to guide your research (citation needed – textbook or journal article), and one tentative hypothesis. It will also include the chapter and page number/s where this topic is covered in your textbook and one empirical journal article that you cite and reference. Therefore, your reference page will consist of at least one empirical article and your cognitive textbook.

• Paper Topics turned in late will be assessed a penalty of 5% per day late which will be deducted from points earned on the first draft of the paper.
• I must approve your research topic, and will do so within one week of receiving it. If you fail to get my approval for your paper topic you will receive ZERO points for both drafts of your paper.
