In the readings on liability, there is a lot of discussion on how to define different types of unmanned systems in order to make them subject to particular types of laws. Is an unmanned maritime system a vessel even though it lacks a crew? Should a highly autonomous robot be considered a commercial product or something more akin to a domesticated animal or employee when it comes to liability? Who is responsible if a defunct unmanned spacecraft collides with a commercially important satellite, taking out critical communication systems?

Take a stance on any one of the debatable liability issues from the readings in this module. Provide a logical argument for your position, backed by the readings. Use APA citations where applicable. Explain how current laws or legal standards should be applied or changed to support your position. Your post should have at least 300 words.
