The written paper should follow APA formatting.  Refer to the Citation Handbook for proper APA formatting.  The paper should be word processed using Microsoft Word, 7-10 pages in length, double spaced using a 12 font size.  The works cited page is not included in the 7-10 pages that constitute the body of the project.  Proper spelling, punctuation and grammar must be used.  The written portion is due as indicated on the syllabus. Importance of company name

-Mission Statement->“The Micah 6:8 Project’s goal is to change a culture: to break the cycle of slavery by offering education and vocational training to a precious people desperate for a hope and a future.”The Micah 6:8 Project seeks to combat modern day slavery in Ghana by teaching rescued children vocational and life skills. Additionally, we will provide resources and education to local communities, facilitating a sustainable and safe environment for children.

-The importance of this company is strong in a small community because people always wonder how and what they can do to help others. Donating a small or large amount of time or money can do so much good and go a long way.

What are they trying to accomplish

-Wanting to provide a healthy lifestyle for people in Africa. The community has said that Micah 6:8 Project has been known for helping to eradicate child slavery by providing vocational therapy and other various things to help in the surrounding villages such as; providing clean and safe water.

-The vocational Training Center is open and available for enrollment for more than 125+ it is located in Senya, Ghana and Yeji on the shores of Lake Volta.Their main point of focus for these training centers is to stop child slavery through educating themselves through learning.

Values & History
When was the company formed?

-The company was brought together and formed in 2011. Before starting Micah 6:9 Project, Christy had zero experience in Non-profits except for traveling with Mission Groups. She has always had a passion for helping others and wanting to make a difference and that’s exactly what she put her mind to. She wanted to form this company to be able to travel 2 times a year; once in March and once in October. One of the unique facts about Micah 6:8 Project, it’s a small time operation by people in small communities that allow God to use them in Africa. These small communities come together twice a year to make such a big difference in these families lives, so they can live a happier and healthier way of life. Micah 6:8 Project does fundraising events to help build their financial account to stay away from problems that will cause the Non-Profit to not serve as much.<- (Needs fixing)

Reason for starting

– Christy went on her first Missions Trip to Ghana in 2011 and knew when she arrived and when she left, she knew deep down she had to do something to make a difference. When Christy went on her first trip to Ghana, God gave her the verse Micah 6:8. After seeing all the starving children and the way people were living, it was the perfect verse to what all was happening. She mentions, “He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you?To act justly and to love mercyand to walk humbly with your God.”You have to do all things in order to try to break a cycle of slavery in a third world country.
