Students will select a case study of a Clinical Decision support system implementation to reflect upon in a 6 page paper. Discuss the use of the CDSS, benefits and challenges. Incorporate Meaningful Use and project management steps in your paper.

* Executive summary – A summary of the document (written last) that contains enough information for the readers to become acquainted with the full document without reading it. Usually, it contains a statement of the topic, some background information, and the major conclusions. Someone reading an executive summary should get a good idea of main points of the document without becoming bogged down with details. The idea is to provide all the information that should be needed to make a decision. (Essentially…“So and so should do x to address y issue because of a, b and c.”)

* Introduction – statement of the CDSS/project, situation, issue.

* Analysis – State of the art, description, target groups, contributing evidence, SWOT analysis

* Conclusions

* Recommendations i.e. need for further research

* References  (A minimum of 3 research-based references required current within the last 5 years)
