RESEARCH PURPOSE:
The purpose of this capstone research study is to gather data in order to determine the impact that the lack of physical and visual classroom time during the
Pandemic of 2020, 9th grade students’ reading comprehension skills has caused. The purpose of this action research study is an instructional intervention in
order to determine the impact on a student’s ability to comprehend what they have read. This aligns with the problem statement that the decline in reading
comprehension in 9th graders due to the 2020 Pandemic aligns with the field of curriculum and instruction because reading comprehension is vital to all
areas of student learning.
Task 2:
