Directions: Watch “The Power in Children’s Art” | Martha Skogen | TEDxTrondheim. After viewing the video write at least a one-page paper that addresses the following:

• A summary of the video.
• What are thoughts about art; and your experience with art when you were a child.
• Do you have drawings your children (or children you have worked with) have made?
• Do you (or your parents) have any of the drawings you made when you were a child?

Your paper will be at least one-page. The assignment will be in an essay format. Standard Guideline: Typed, Font Times New Roman or Arial, Size 11/12 Font, double spaced. Check for spelling, grammar, and punctuation. Use APA style when citing references.

Field Trip

Directions: Review what your textbook, lecture, and the reading “Field Trip Safety” had to say about field trips. After reading think of locations in your neighborhood/community that teachers could take children to on a field trip. On the Field Trip Planning Worksheet (Field Trip Planning Worksheet Revised.doc ) make a list of least three locations you could take children. After making the list take one of the locations, and complete each section on the Field Trip Planning Worksheet.

Due to COVID-19 and social distancing, you may not be able to conduct a pre-visit of the location or go on a field trip, but you can call and get information about the location and ask questions to assist you with completing portions of the worksheet.
