I’m working on a Social Science writing question and need support to help me learn.

Instructions

For each of the responses please reference the readings as well as the lectures. There are 2 questions each is worth 3% of your final grade. Each question must be completed in essay format (please see some helpful guides after the questions). Responses will be submitted through Brightspace – due on Thursday 29th by 11:59pm.

Question One:

Why should we ideally use both primary and secondary sources when we engage in research? What are the relative strength and weakness of each and what are the dangers of mistaking one for the other? [I suggest 1-3 paragraphs minimum]

Question Two:

I would like you to define and explain the “invented tradition” concept discussed by Terrance Ranger. Give an example of an invented tradition and I would like you to discuss how this concept may be useful when studying Asian history.[I suggest 1-3 paragraphs minimum]
