Topic of the midterm: Professional Code of Conduct:

Locate the “professional code of conduct” or “professional standards” from your own respective online medical, allied health or nursing association. Analyze your professional code from an ethical perspective. Identify ethical concepts from your readings and weekly discussions that are reflected in your own professional code of conduct. Share a relevant personal experience and how that experience supports or challenges the ethical principles of beneficence and nonmaleficence, honesty, justice, confidentiality, or respect for autonomy (to earn the total points possible, please discuss at least three ethical principles when sharing personal experiences).

According to our syllabus, you should do the following:

Locate the “professional code of conduct” or “professional standards” from your own

respective online medical, allied health or nursing association.

DO NOT USE A STUDENT CODE OF ETHICS/CONDUCT.

Analyze your professional code from an ethical perspective. Identify ethical concepts from your readings and weekly discussions that are reflected in your own professional code of conduct. Share a relevant personal experience and how that experience supports or challenges the ethical principles of beneficence and nonmaleficence, honesty, justice, confidentiality, or respect for

autonomy. You may select one principle or more than one.

Also, writing should be in APA format. Please see the APA guide as a reference. When

we use APA format, we do not write in first person. However, when writing your personal

experience, you may use first person for that section only.

Papers can be 3 – 5 pages. Which means it can be a minimum of three, but no more than five (this does not include title page and references).

It is also very helpful is you use titles and subtitles as that makes your paper more

orderly and easier to read and locate pertinent information when grading.

Also, pay close attention to the grading matrix (attached). That should be helpful. I have also attached examples of quality midterm papers for your benefit.
