Paper instructions Analyze the use of visual storytelling in a single film and how the film uses visuals to generate meaning. This paper should specifically address the visual methodologies of
″mise-en- scene″ and cinematography described in Chapters 4 & 5 of Film Art. Not every method or technique will apply to your particular film, but you should pinpoint and analyze the most

Analyze a single scene in the film. What, in your opinion, are the most significant visual methods used with this scene to both tell the story and (hopefully) to convey meaning? How are these
methods used? How does the film use these methods to convey meaning, if any? What is that meaning, if any? 
 2. Analyze one or two visual motifs utilized throughout a single film. In the paper,
briefly track and describe their use throughout the film. Which visual methods are used for these motifs? Is there any extra meaning being conveyed through these methods? If so, what?
