Please think specifically about the article The Integration of Theory into Practice:Suggestions for Supervisors (Beder, n.d.), and respond to the following:

Reynolds eloquently intimated that, “the art of social work is learned by experiences illuminated by theory” (as cited in Beder, n.d., p. 41). What did she mean by this? As you think about the subsequent discussion of the differences between formal theory and practice theory, please explain this difference in your own words. If social workers find it difficult to use formal theory in practice, does this make the learning of theory pointless? Why or why not? (You are welcome to provide examples to substantiate your point of view)
