Paper , Order, or Assignment Requirements
These posts will focus on your skills in reading, summary, and analysis, as well as in writing.
Each week, by 10am Monday, please read the assigned article and post a 250-300 word response to the posted question. PLEASE DO NOT USE ATTACHMENTS FOR POSTS. PASTE YOUR TEXT INTO THE MOODLE WINDOW.
You should complete at least 10 posts over the course of the term. (There will be twelve potential posts: you can miss 2 over the term without grade penalty.)
Your final grade will be based both on the quality and quantity of posts completed. Late submission of posts will not be permitted (unless prior arrangement is made with me, or in the case of serious, documented illness or emergency).
1. General grading guidelines:
· A+ (9-10): Posts are at least 250 words. They are written in polished, professional, engaging prose. They respond clearly, thoroughly, and insightfully to the assigned reading/question.
· A/B range (7-8): Posts are at least 250 words, are written in professional prose, and clearly and thoroughly respond to the assigned reading/question. Responses may be less detailed or insightful than the A range responses. Writing may be basic or stilted at times, or may have some minor grammatical errors.
· C (6): Posts respond to the assigned reading/question. Posts may be a little short, a little general, or awkwardly/sloppily written.
· D range (5): Posts engage with the readings, but in little detail. Writing may be confusing. Post may be too short.
· F (0-4): Post does not clearly engage with the text. Post is very short. Writing problems make the post difficult to understand.
